The followings photo gallery is a collection of pictures made during the film "Bitter Harvest". With this impressive gallery, we would like to offer you a short view of the wonderful and very rich culture of Ukraine. Their traditions are depicted as well as their culture and way of living. The topic of the film is based on two stories. In the first one, a love story between two young Ukraininas is presented. Unfortunately, their love will be put to a test, because the Soviets together with Stalin decided to start a civilian war against the Ukrainians, mostly against those who do not want to give up their land and fortunes to them. In the second story, the stuggle of the Ukrainian people is depicted. They tried to resist and small parts of Ukraine managed to defend their lands and families. The film ends with the eliberation of the people from the Soviet army and the love story betwwen the two lovers continues. Death did not bring them apart.
